Li Po Lounge

Li Po Lounge

Li Po Lounge, named after one of the greatest poets in China’s Tang dynasty, is the oldest bar in Chinatown and a popular destination with locals and tourists. Outside the bar is an intricate, six-sided neon Chinese lantern that appeared in Orson Welles' 1947 film "The Lady from Shanghai - On the Lam.” Inside is a wraparound bar with red leather booths, decorative lanterns, and a golden Buddha statue. The bar’s Chinese Mai Tai, a trademarked drink developed right here in Li Po Lounge, is one of the most delicious and popular drinks in town.
