Treasure Island Museum

Imagine a museum where the issues of today are examined and informed by history. Grounded in the island's heritage, the Treasure Island Museum has stories to tell and the opportunity to tell them in the place where those stories occurred. Housed in historic Building One, the museum preserves and presents the history of one of the city’s unique neighborhoods via exhibitions and free public programs. We re-imagine the role of a museum by addressing relevant topics, steering away from traditional artifact display, and prioritizing audience engagement. We are proud to be a significant cultural, intellectual, and artistic hub on the revitalized Treasure Island.
